ASSESSMENTS
Autism Assessments for Children
We aim to understand a person's needs from a range of perspectives. We want to know about your child's life and development from the people who know them best. Once we have completed the appropriate screening measures (SCQ and SRS-2) with yourself and school, we use the 'Gold Standard' assessment tools (ADI-R and 3DI) to interview you and gather all the relevant information.

We then want to learn about your child's social communication using again the 'Gold Standard' assessment to assess their strengths and difficulties. The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 is a play and conversation based assessment that presses for different social skills.

When we have gathered information from parental and educational sources and seen the child's social communication face to face, we are able to come to a conclusion about whether they meet the criteria for a diagnosis. Sharing this information in a sensitive and detailed way allows all the parties involved to benefit from these observations. We can help parents and educators to adapt the environment to your child's needs.
Cost: £1700

Autism Assessments for Adults
Similar to the process used when providing an assessment for a child, the 'Gold Standard' assessment tools (ADI-R and 3DI) are also used when providing an autism assessment for an adult, which again follows the completion of a screening questionnaire. In this case, informants will need to be chosen who know the adult best e.g., parent or partner to complete the interview process.
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 will focus on the conversation-based assessment that presses for different social skills.

A conclusion can then be met about whether the adult meets the criteria for a diagnosis.
Cost: £1700

Cognitive Assessments
Children who have learning disabilities and difficulties can find the enormous demands of the classroom very challenging. Understanding your child’s cognitive strengths and needs can help educators to be aware of which educational strategies to put into place.
The Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V) looks at a person's overall level of intellectual ability and helps to determine whether they meet the criteria for a diagnosis of a learning disability.
Cost £800
